 John Oxley steaming into Sydney Harbour 1970 (Image John Bennet)The 1927 steamship John Oxley is the last surviving original coastal steamship in Australia.

Her restoration to display and steaming condition is the chance for Australians to experience first-hand a fundamental component of our maritime past.

Restoration is well advanced, largely due to the stoic efforts of the John Oxley’s team of workers combined with the generosity of sponsors who support this project.
