Restoration Update 2022

This was a huge year for the John Oxley restoration

The need to place the tired hull of 1912 Sydney ferry Kanangra safely onto our Sea Heritage Dock work barge in place of the John Oxley.

Work was accelerated on John Oxley to ready the hull, machinery and electrics of John Oxley for refloat. Preparatory work also took place on the SHD work barge, and on Kanangra to maximise safety and integrity for the tow to Garden Island Dockyard for docking.
